Classes Offered
Our most popular course is our Four-Week Silversmithing Workshop, which meets once a week in the evenings or on weekends. Each workshop session lasts approximately three hours and is limited to small groups to ensure personalized instruction and one-on-one attention. Over the course of four weeks, participants create 2–3 finished pieces, learning foundational techniques of silversmithing along the way.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:
-
Design and plan your own custom jewelry pieces
-
Saw and pierce sterling silver using a jeweler’s saw
-
File and shape metal into desired forms
-
Solder with a jeweler’s torch to create strong, clean joins
-
Texture metal using hammers, stamps, and rolling mills
-
Form and shape metal into rings, cuffs, and pendants
-
Bezel set stones, learning how to secure semi-precious cabochons into your jewelry
-
Polish and finish your pieces to a high shine or satin/matte finish
-
Use patina techniques to darken and highlight texture
-
Handle professional tools and materials safely and confidently
Each student walks away with several finished pieces of sterling silver jewelry—most commonly rings, cuffs, earrings, or pendants—using natural gemstones and techniques that blend artistry and craft. You’ll gain the skills to continue your jewelry-making journey independently or return for advanced sessions to deepen your practice.
