Sterling Silver Fossilized Coral and Hessonite Garnet Pendant

There are some stones that feel like tiny works of art before I ever touch them, and this beautiful piece of fossilized coral is one of them.

Formed by nature over millions of years, the coral holds an incredible landscape of rich reds, warm oranges, soft creams, and earthy details. The closer you look, the more you discover. Its natural patterns and subtle variations give the stone a depth and character that could never be recreated—and that is exactly what drew me to it.

Set just above the coral is a teardrop-shaped Hessonite garnet, chosen for the way its warm, glowing color complements the tones within the fossilized coral. It adds just the right touch of richness and sparkle without taking anything away from the stone below.

I finished the pendant with double sterling silver hoops, giving the piece a beautiful sense of balance and allowing it to hang effortlessly from the sterling silver chain. I love the little bit of movement this detail creates when the necklace is worn.

Every part of this piece was designed and made by hand around these individual stones. I never recreate my designs, so every piece of Kukio Jewelry is truly one of a kind.
